Introduction
FreeOnlineConverter ("we", "this site") is a free online tools website run by Sajid Mansuri from India. This policy explains in plain language what information is collected when you use the site, how uploaded files are handled, and what choices you have. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here and in the Terms of Service.
Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, address, or phone number. The only things you actively give us are the files or values you enter into a tool, plus any email you send to [email protected].
Processed fully in your browser (nothing is uploaded): the age calculator, EMI calculator, percentage calculator, GST calculator, word counter, case converter, and QR code generator. Their code runs locally in JavaScript; whatever you type stays on your own device and is never sent to our servers. Closing the tab removes it from memory.
Sent to a server for processing: the PDF tools (PDF to JPG, image to PDF, merge PDF, compress PDF) and the image tools (resize image, compress image). When you press the convert button, your chosen file is uploaded to our processing server (currently hosted on Render) and temporary cloud storage, converted there, and a short-lived download link is returned. Files are kept only as long as needed to complete your request and expire automatically; we do not keep a library of your uploads, sell them, or share them with anyone except the hosting and storage providers that run the conversion.
Emails you send to [email protected] are kept only to answer you and follow up if needed.
Log data and analytics
We do not run Google Analytics, ad trackers, or any analytics script of our own on these pages. Our host, Cloudflare Pages, may keep basic, aggregate server logs (such as requested pages, approximate region, and error counts) to keep the site fast and secure. A Google Search Console verification file exists so we can see anonymous search performance; it does not track individual visitors.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser's local storage; none of the tool scripts use localStorage, sessionStorage, or cookies. Your browser may still keep normal temporary cache so pages load faster.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
No advertising is shown on this site right now. If Google AdSense or similar ad partners are added later, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com or http://www.aboutads.info. This section will apply once ads go live.
Third-party services and links
The QR code generator loads one open-source library (qrcodejs) from the Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) so it can draw codes in your browser; that provider may see your IP address and browser details when the file loads. PDF and image conversions use our Render processing server and cloud file storage as described above. Pages may link to outside sites such as Google Ads Settings; we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Data security
We use HTTPS encryption for pages and uploads, limit stored files to short-lived conversion links, and do not publish your uploads. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure, so please do not upload highly sensitive documents you cannot afford to share, and download your results promptly.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your rights and deletion requests
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete your uploaded files or emails. Write to [email protected] from the address you used, describe your request, and we will respond within a few business days. Where files have already expired from temporary storage, we will confirm that nothing remains.
This policy is written to be consistent with India's Information Technology law and its data-protection rules, and follows general GDPR-style principles (lawfulness, minimal collection, and user control) for visitors from other countries.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new last-updated date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
